We aim to ensure:

• OSHC is a safe, stimulating and caring environment, encouraging social interaction and communication, that it is affordable, accessible, suiting the needs of the community
• Safe and stimulating care that fosters physical, emotional, intellectual and social development.
• promote respect, leisure, making choices, in a relaxed, challenging and rewarding environment
• Offer indoor and outdoor games and activities, solo and group times, plays, dress-ups, computer games, gluing, construction, hand sewing, electrical gadgets cooking, Vac Care excursions, soccer, tennis, four square, videos – watching and making them.
• Follow the school’s Sun policy, Behaviour policy.

Some of the activites available at OSHC include:

• Cooking: Pizzas, hot bread rolls, pancakes, biscuits and other tasty treats
• Fun Games: Peformance, dancing, cubbies, beading, dress-up, juggling, painting, board games.
• Outdoor Games: Tennis, netball basketball, footy, cricket, swimming, silent ball, poison ball
• Treasure hunts, dodge ball, cortex, frisbee, table tennis, Lego, K'Nex white boards and craft videos, computer games, mini movie-making, posters using digital cameras, Alrobot, excursions (local and extended).

Pupil Free days and Vacation Care hours are normally 8:30am – 6:30pm depending on numbers booked in.

OSHC provides after school snacks and water, catering for special diets when necessary. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided during Vacation Care and Pupil Free Days.

Keith Area School Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program operates for school children aged 4½ year to 13 years. Afterschool Care times: Wed – Friday - 3.30 - 6.00 pm   Pupil Free Days - 7.30 am - 6.30 pm                Vacation Care - 7.30 am - 6.30 pm For further details please request an OSHC information booklet from the School Front Office or Library.
