Keith Area School is a

Agriculture is offered to students from Years 7-12. The program provides the opportunity for students to participate in a wide range of learning activities including growing vegetables, management and training of animals and running their own agricultural enterprise where students develop business and financial skills while learning more about agriculture.

We are fortunate to offer small senior classes, which allows us to develop individualised programs. This allows students to develop a better understanding of local agriculture and develop their skills to improve their skills in local industry.

The Agriculture program utilises local farmers and takes the opportunity to learn from agricultural events within the region, providing students with a large range of experiences and the opportunity to connect with the farming community.

Show Team

The school participates in the led steer, led goat and Merino wether competitions at the Royal Adelaide Show and Mt Gambier Show. Each year students work hard to prepare animals for competition, develop individual skills and knowledge in handling and leading animals while preparing for the show.
